Logan City Council is excited to announce construction is now underway for the new Kingston Butter Factory Cultural Precinct.
The construction is due for completion in early 2021 and we’re now inviting non-binding proposals from interested respondents to activate the Kingston Butter Factory (KBF) Cultural Precinct outdoor event spaces.
Council is particularly seeking:
- commercial hire and activation opportunities through major ticketed events and markets
- activation opportunities through free community-based events
Proposals will be accepted for consideration between 20 July 2020 and 23 August 2020 for events to be scheduled from May 2021.
We’re looking for commercial proposals that will contribute to the KBF Cultural Precinct becoming a popular destination for locals and visitors, activated seven days a week through a diverse mix of performances and events.
Markets and commercial ticketed events in the outdoor events space will complement a rich and diverse calendar of free community events at the venue.
We will also be providing the outdoor space for the community to use for group activities such as parkruns, mums n bubs meet ups, bootcamps and more. This availability of the outdoor space for free community group use will be very limited, submit your proposal now to be considered.
Commercial spaces on offer
- Outdoor stage
- Outdoor multi-use plaza
The precinct offers excellent public transport access. It’s:
- next to the Kingston Train Station on the Brisbane-Gold Coast Line
- close to both the Pacific & Logan Motorways for vehicle traffic
- on established Translink bus routes
- connected by cycleways to Griffith University
The submission of proposals will enable organisations to present, inform and guide potential partnerships in the precinct. We want to partner with established promoters, producers, business owners, market convenors and major event planners to design a truly unique and diverse program of events for our community and the region.
